Perform all responsibilities of Quality Inspection of production assemblies. Responsible for generating Quality notifications for all non-conformances and performing stock purge inspections. Ability to use predetermined methods and specifications to visually inspect in-process and completed products. Knowledge of various measurement devices such as calipers, scales, dial indicators, micrometers, microscope etc. This role will incorporate predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds. Uses various measuring devices. Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Works from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists. May supervise and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. As a Receiving Inspector, will work hands-on in a production setting and utilize lean manufacturing concepts to assess assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Inspect product from production, suppliers or other LM sites to validate the workmanship, dimensions and documentation conform to the product requirements. Disposition parts for test or outside inspections based on inspection plans or program requirements. Reject and generate non-conforming documentation for hardware that does not meet product specifications or requirements. Support other areas of Quality as required. Employee will work on-site full-time. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $53,900 - $94,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
