Marketing Intern
Winland Foods is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Unit/Marketing Intern to join our team. The intern will support the corporate team in various key functions, including market research, product development, operational support, and cross-departmental projects. This internship offers hands-on experience in understanding the business strategies behind food manufacturing and exposure to a broad range of activities within a corporate setting. Position Responsibilities: Assist in gathering and analyzing market data, trends, and customer preferences. Support the team in identifying new market opportunities for product innovation and growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, and sales to assist in the development of new products or the optimization of existing product lines. Support in drafting project plans, timelines, and product launch strategies. Assist the Corporate Business Unit Manager with day-to-day operations, including production scheduling, supply chain coordination, and inventory management. Support in streamlining processes and identifying areas for improvement. Work closely with finance, sales, and marketing teams to gather data and insights that impact overall business unit performance. Participate in project meetings and contribute to strategic discussions. Maintain databases and prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the Corporate Business Unit. Assist with data entry, tracking project progress, and creating presentations for senior management. Perform various administrative tasks as needed, such as preparing documents, coordinating meetings, and managing communications for the business unit. Qualifications / Requirements: Overall and within major GPA of 3.0 or higher Formal orientation and on-boarding Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); knowledge of data analysis tools is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for the food industry and a keen interest in corporate operations and business strategy.
