Internal Auditor
We are seeking a detail-oriented Internal Auditor with strong experience in U.S. financial services, particularly within large banking institutions. The ideal candidate will assess and enhance the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes, with a focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance aligned with U.S. regulatory standards. Key Areas of Internal Audit Expertise: U.S. AML Compliance Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) / FinCEN regulations Customer Due Diligence (CDD) / Know Your Customer (KYC) Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) Credit Risk Wealth Management / Securities Operational Risk Management (ORM) Finance / Treasury SOX / ICFR Quality Control / Quality Assurance Key Responsibilities: Plan and execute internal audits across banking and financial operations, with emphasis on AML compliance and regulatory adherence. Evaluate internal controls and risk management processes in accordance with U.S. regulations (e.g., BSA, OCC, FRB, FDIC, SOX). Identify control gaps and recommend actionable improvements. Review AML programs for effectiveness, including CIP, CDD, SAR, CTR, and recordkeeping requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and emerging risks. Prepare audit documentation and reports in line with IIA standards. Monitor remediation efforts and conduct follow-up reviews. Stay informed on regulatory updates, enforcement actions, and industry best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CIA, or CISA preferred. 3+ years of internal audit experience in U.S. financial institutions, with emphasis on AML and regulatory compliance. Strong understanding of BSA/AML frameworks, FinCEN guidance, and related federal banking regulations. Experience with risk-based audit planning and data analytics tools. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $75.00/hr.
