Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Details: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM Up to 40 hr/wk currently available to meet coverage needs Hours may adjust based on team scheduling Morning shifts are especially important Location: Grand Island Health Center | Nebraska Medicine Omaha, NE Nebraska Medicine is seeking a casual phlebotomist to join our busy medical lab team at Grand Island Health Center. We provide high-quality patient care in a friendly, collaborative environment serving Internal Medicine and Rheumatology patients. Our fast-paced, patient-focused setting has a high volume of draws requiring teamwork, efficiency, and a positive attitude. Duties: Phlebotomist Responsible for collection and transportation of patient specimens for clinical laboratory testing adhering to department identification policies. Perform, evaluate, and report patient specimens using point-of-care instrumentation. Demonstrate behavioral skills that contribute to a productive work environment, represent the lab in a professional manner, and provide excellent customer service. May process and distribute patient specimen for clinical laboratory testing. Required Qualifications: Phlebotomist Minimum of 18 years of age required. High school education or equivalent required. Effective written and oral communication skills required. Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility required. Computer experience required. Attention to detail required. Ability to multitask required. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Preferred Qualifications: Phlebotomist Direct patient care experience or completion of a phlebotomy course or phlebotomy experience preferred. Phlebotomy certification PBT (ASCP) preferred.
