Responsibilities: Knowledge of the principles and practices of microbiology, biology, hematology, immunohematology, urinalysis and chemistry. Knowledge of a clinical laboratory as it applies to the collection and processing of samples. Testing of samples, interpretation of results, and the communication of those results to appropriate personnel. Knowledge of laboratory chemical and biological safety Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment We are offering a $5,000 sign on bonus to hires who meet hire requirements. Qualifications: Graduated from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program or at least one year of experience in a clinical, analytical or environmental laboratory. Registered (or registry eligible*) with a nationally accredited certifying agency (e.g. American Society for Clinical Pathology, American Medical Technology, etc.). Overview: As our Med Lab Technologist at CHI St Vincent Infirmary, you will help solve mysteries as to what's ailing a patient and get us one step closer to successfully treating that illness or injury. You will perform a variety of technical analyses, verify results and assure quality and accuracy of tests under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor(s), Laboratory Manager(s), Laboratory Administrative Director, and Laboratory Medical Director (Pathologist). You'll build trust in all your interactions through your professionalism and work ethic. CHI St Vincent Infirmary is a 600 bed faith-based, non-profit, acute care facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas.
