Director Of Enterprise Application Services
The Director of Enterprise Application Services (EAS) provides leadership for planning, implementation, and ongoing support for the University's administrative information systems. Major enterprise systems in the Director's portfolio include ERP levels of: human resources and finance modules, student information system, facilities management system, personnel time keeping system, academic web portal system, and various other cloud and on-prem services. Today, a number of cloud-based services are provided by external vendors and EAS and DBAs are responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of the integration of those services into the University portfolio. In partnership with the Associate Director, provide broad leadership for a staff of approximately 18 professionals who support those systems and is responsible for the recruiting, mentoring, professional development, and administrative supervision of those staff. Working with a team of five other ETS directors, the Director of EAS provides overall institutional leadership for planning, policy, and operations for enterprise information technology services for the University, with a particular focus on administrative applications. The Director has primary responsibility for identifying and developing opportunities to harness new technologies and services in support of the University's core student, financial, facilities, and human resource business offices. This position works critically with partners across the University to strategize, maintain, and develop the next phase of enterprise resource planning for the university. Requires strong and active collaborative partnership with senior University business offices, with members of client offices at all levels, and with other ETS directors. As a member of the Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) leadership team, the director reports to the CIO. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Bachelor's degree in related field to include significant on-going education in computing and information systems and services required. Eight years of experience to include working in organization that implements and maintains information systems and services and performing programming and system analyst/designer work in an ERP environment. Demonstrated ability to lead the definition of requirements, research and evaluation of options, and implementation of new information services platforms, products, and services. Supervisory experience leading a large team of technical staff required. Experience collaborating with clients to identify opportunities and implement systems to improve client operations and translating the value of emerging technologies into valuable client applications. Demonstrated collaboration, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Experience managing a balance of hosted and cloud-based applications. Experience giving presentations of technical information in an understandable way to non-technical audiences. Desirable Qualifications Experience in a enterprise level systems like Banner or PeopleSoft ERP as well as in higher-education environment desirable. Anticipated Pay Range $145k-160k Other Information Special Conditions A probationary period may be required, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position FLSA Exempt Union Position No Position will be posted for a minimum of one week, after which it is subject to removal without notice.
