Senior Program Coordinator For Employer Engagement, College Of Natural Sciences
Responsible for supporting strategic employer engagement and student success initiatives by building and maintaining relationships with employers and alumni, coordinating student-facing programs, and collaborating on events that connect stakeholders across campus. Works closely with the CNS Career Services Employer and Alumni Engagement Team, UT Austin Career Success, the CNS Office of Experiential Learning, and other employer-facing professionals to advance the college of natural sciences' career development goals. To advance our core mission of fostering wellness, belonging, and success for all students. Responsible for serving as a primary point of contact for employer partners engaging with college of natural sciences students, providing guidance on recruiting processes and facilitating access to opportunities across UT Austin. Schedules, prepares for, and conducts employer meetings to assess goals, offer strategic support, and strengthen long-term relationships. Collaborates with the CNS Career Services Employer and Alumni Engagement Team, the CNS Office of Experiential Learning, and UT Austin Career Success to align employer activity with institutional strategies and service standards. Contributes to the development and implementation of new employer engagement models that enhance consistency and improve career outcomes. Maintains accurate records of employer interactions, job postings, and engagement outcomes using UT's employer relationship platform (12twenty). Responsible for designing and delivering targeted programssuch as recruiting preparation sessions, employer spotlights, and alumni Q&A eventsthat connect students with industry insights and professional opportunities. Collaborates with departments across the college of natural sciences and student services teams to support career-related programming and integrate employer engagement into academic and co-curricular initiatives. Tracks program effectiveness, gathers feedback, and applies insights to continuously improve future offerings. Responsible for planning and executing employer-facing events such as networking nights, industry panels, and career mixers in collaboration with the Employer and Alumni Engagement Team, UT Austin Career Success, and the CNS Office of Experiential Learning. Supports all logistical aspects of events, including marketing, employer communication, room reservations, and post-event follow-up. Attends events to ensure smooth operations and a high-quality experience for both employers and students. Coordinates event roles and responsibilities in advance to ensure efficient teamwork and successful event delivery. Responsible for assisting in the creation and distribution of communications to promote events and programs to students, faculty, staff, and employers. Develops tailored marketing strategies for specific employers, industries, or student populations to maximize engagement. Collaborates with CNS Communications and university marketing partners to ensure outreach is effective, aligned with institutional branding, and reaches the intended audiences. Responsible for collaborating with the CNS Career Services Employer and Alumni Engagement Team and career services professionals across campus to support shared employer engagement goals. Participates in cross-campus working groups and forums aimed at enhancing the recruiting experience for employers and students. Provides feedback on tools, processes, and emerging trends in employer engagement to inform strategic planning. Contributes to university-wide efforts to strengthen UT Austin's reputation as a premier destination for employer recruiting. Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in program administration or program coordination. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Enthusiastic, solutions-oriented, and collaborative professional with strong communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to student engagement, employer relations, and higher education. Two to five years of experience in higher education, career services, university development, or program management. Proven ability to work effectively across departments and functional areas. Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, as well as vendor and contract management. Strong understanding of event planning protocols, budget oversight, and managing multiple concurrent events. Familiarity with recruiting platforms such as 12twenty or Handshake, and knowledge of UT Austin systems. Understanding of career readiness frameworks, student development best practices, and compliance considerations related to recruiting and student engagement, including FERPA, SB17, Title IX, and labor laws. $60,000 + depending on qualifications. Environmental demands: may work around standard office conditions. Physical tasks: repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Lifting and moving equipment and materials as part of event setup and breakdown. This may include tables, chairs, signage, and other event-related items.
