3rd Shift Facilities Maintenance II - Lift Operator (Janitor

Position Summary

Facilities Maintenance II - Lift Operator is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in all areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, parking lots, and common spaces.

Gather cardboard and plastic from the production lines and warehouse, load and compact the materials into the baler ensuring the bales are properly tied and ready for transport.

Responsible for safely operate the sit-down forklift ensuring proper loading of the recycle cardboard trailer.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained. Sweep, mop, scrub, buff and wax the floors. Clean up spills with appropriate equipment. Remove garbage and recycling plastic / cardboard. Bale cardboard and plastic. Collect and dispose trash. Keep track of inventory needs. Safely and efficiently load the cardboard trailer. Follow safety rules. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Technical Skills Required

Ability to operate a forklift or similar equipment. Ability to operate the compactor and baler machine. Attention to detail. Basic math skills. Ability operating floor buffer equipment.

Experience Required

3 years housekeeping in a manufacturer environment. High school diploma or GED. Preferred. Forklift certification. Handle basic maintenance and cleaning. Ability to manage time efficiently. Effective communication.

Physical Requirements

Regularly sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time Ability to sit, balance, climb, stand, bend, squat, squeeze, kneel, turn, crouch, stoop repeatedly. Physically able to lift 50 pounds frequently Frequent exposure to varying temperatures, loud noises, heavy machinery, fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, electrical current, chemicals, and vibrations Hand - eye coordination
