Apply now! Position Summary
Remove covers, open bags, and remove empty bags from totes. Put bags in and syrup/brine totes, make sure the totes weigh out, repair totes as needed, etc. Keep the work area clean and be able to perform moderate to heavy labor. If any problems develop, notify foreman or supervisor. Essential Functions
Prepare totes for processing by removing covers and opening bags prior to loading tank. Repair and or reject totes or other materials not meeting specifications. Inspect, clean, and sanitize totes and materials for conformance to specifications. Prepare totes for finished product by lining with bags. Weigh tote containers to verify ingredient quantities. Notify supervisor of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems. Fill out necessary paperwork. Plant clean-up. Hand palletize (stack) finished goods onto pallet. Operate sizer. Sort and package product, poke stems, cut stems and other tasks on moving lines/belts. Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications & Certifications Required
Internal GMP/HACCP/BRC Training. Trained and knowledgeable in the use of PPE (personal protective equipment). Must pass respiratory fitness test. Physical Demands of Job
The employee must be able to perform the physical demands listed below to perform this specific job functions: Frequent standing and walking. Occasional climbing, bending, stooping, and twisting. Occasional lifting and/or pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds. Work Environment
The work environments listed here are representative of those that may be encountered by employee while performing the functions of this job: Wet or humid conditions. Extreme temperatures. Exposure to brine (sulfur dioxide, pH of solution to 3.0). Exposure to bleach (chlorine dioxide, chlorine, pH of solution to 3.0). Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
