Supervisor Materials Distribution

The Supervisor Materials Distribution supervises the daily ordering, pulling, receiving, delivering, and replenishment of supplies in order to meet department and patient needs. This role oversees that inventory data is correctly recorded, and ensures tracking of inventory expiration dates in order to keep inventory up-to-date and usable in the department. The schedule for this position is 3:30pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday but also must be available for 3rd shift when needed. Responsibilities include: Managing inventorying, reordering, pulling, restocking, rotating inventory, and checking the expiration dates of inventory in order to meet departmental needs. Inspecting working and storage areas and ensuring clean and orderly conditions. Approving removal of non-functional equipment and supplies from service and reporting problems to the proper department(s) for corrective action. Reviewing daily accuracy of inventory, cycle counting, and electronic supply replenishment. Reviewing data entry of inventory up to date, making changes or drafting corresponding paperwork as necessary. Ensuring supply deliveries are complete and accurate and that the condition of the supplies is acceptable. Investigating and resolving back orders and other delivery issues and product returns. Performing other duties as assigned. Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: Required: 3 years of experience in healthcare materials management or other related supply chain field management.
