Advanced Quantitative Research Analyst
Perform advanced quantitative research to improve financial trading strategies. Generate production analysis and operations work related to the development, operation, and improvement of quantitative trading methods. Report results of statistical analyses including information in the form of graphs, charts, and tables. Create new statistical models for financial markets. Analyze data obtained from markets to improve existing models. Design trading strategies based on derived models. Perform statistical analyses of large sets of financial data, simulate quantitative trading systems, and develop algorithms. Establish research plans; clean and process data; and perform data modeling, evaluations, and simulations. Test both research and production tools. Perform production tasks, including both offline analysis of production trading and portfolios, as well as real-time operations work to keep production grading systems running. Perform financial statistical analysis and data modeling. Develop online high frequency trading system and offline financial data analysis tools. Develop and test experimental designs, sampling, techniques, and analytical methods. Clean and process data for processing by organizing information, checking for any inaccuracies, and weighing the raw data. Plan data collection methods for specific project and determine the types and sizes of sample groups to be used. Produce analysis tools. Develop production tools. Evaluate the statistical methods and procedures used to obtain data to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy. Ph.D. or foreign degree equivalent in Physics, Computational Physics, Computer Science, Computational Science, Computational Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative degree field.
