Maintenance Machinist

Location: South Minneapolis, MN 1st shift: 7:00AM - 3:30PM, M-F; weekend availability for overtime Permanent Position OR Contract-to-Hire Position Pay Rate: $30.00-$32.00/hour Position Summary: This position involves extensive responsibilities, including mechanical and electrical maintenance, machining, general construction, welding, and various other maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Machinist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, complying with safety policies, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and systems is essential. Responsibilities

Maintain, repair and service all presses (primarily Punch Presses) and equipment. Replace mechanical components as required. Install, remove, or move equipment as directed. Interpret electrical diagrams. Troubleshoot and perform electrical repairs to equipment and lighting. Efficient operation of metal cutting machines to produce and repair parts from drawings and samples. Perform new construction and repairs to buildings, grounds and equipment using carpentry, plumbing and mechanical skills. Familiar with the basic skills of word processing and database manager programs. Requirements

Training: 185 hours of general machine shop. Current Boiler License via MN Department of Labor and Industry or able to obtain within 3 months of hire. Experience maintaining/repairing punch presses REQUIRED. Knowledge and ability to work with electrical systems. Knowledge and ability to work to building, fire and electrical codes. Knowledge and ability to work to O.S.H.A. rules and regulations. Ability to maintain a manual record keeping system that documents all maintenance activities. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Follow all safety policies. Obtain and maintain an active forklift certification. Proficient with basic computer skills. Read, understand, and follow all policies, processes, and procedures. Strong command of the English language, including verbal and written communications. Possess or be willing to purchase the required hand tools upon acceptance of the job offer. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the metal stamping industry. Experience in industrial maintenance. Experience with fabrication (Lathe, Bridgeport Mill, welding). Benefits
