what you do and what you think matters. JOB SUMMARY: A Selector is responsible for evaluating and selecting various types of milk products based on quality, specifications, and customer requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Pull customer orders in sequence and place products on conveyor chain. Check each item after products are placed on the line. Apply the appropriate customer information to the product they select. Document code dates on load sheets as required. Identify and report all quality issues to their supervisor. Picks up trash and cooler spills from the work area and hoses down the chains, chain covers, and the floor daily. Manually palletizing products using a hand truck (dolly). Other duties as assigned. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime. Perform basic math skills. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must be able to reach, bend, extend, and lift 50-60 pounds. It also requires reaching and handling dairy products and pushing and pulling stacks of products weighing up to 200lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment may require working in the cooler room with varying degrees of temperature and may include contact with water or dairy liquids. Exposed to a noise level of 90 decibels. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/high. Wet/slippery work conditions.
