Ophthalmic Scribe
This role involves supporting clinics within Houston, TX. Travel time from home clinic to other clinics will be compensated. The position requires documenting physician visits in the EMR system and assisting with scribing duties. Candidates will occasionally handle instruments as requested by the physician, perform patient work-ups after doctor visits, and communicate effectively with patients about procedures and treatments. Medical assisting and patient care experience. Proficiency in medical terminology and EMR systems. Experience in ophthalmology and medical documentation. Data entry and typing skills. Work Environment
The role supports multiple clinics with flexibility required, as there are no set days. Work is Monday through Friday, with start times ranging from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm until the last patient leaves. The environment is extremely fast-paced, seeing 80-100 patients a day. The dress code includes navy blue scrubs, short and groomed nails, and hair must be tied back. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
