Vp Finance And Accounting
Position available with Kelvin Systems, Inc. in Brooklyn, New York. Anticipated salary for the position: $293,000 - $313,000 per year; full-time. Responsibilities: Manage all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition for the company and associated project companies. Partner with the sales and operations team to forecast annual operating budgets and drive year-over-year efficiency improvements. Analyze internal controls to ensure assets are adequately safeguarded and results are accurately reported; train key personnel periodically to ensure compliance. Lead annual budget and monthly forecast development and accountability. Oversee publishing of key performance indicators on a monthly basis. Advise the executive team concerning course correcting actions required. Assure adherence to generally accepted accounting policies. Lead completion of month-end close process in an accurate and timely manner. Oversee development of standard costs for multiple product lines in multiple locations. Work with the operations team to supervise quarterly physical inventories & reconcile results. The position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in finance or accounting, or a related field. The position also requires five (5) years of experience in job offered or as a finance officer or accounting-related field. Professional and/or academic experience must include: experience in A/R, A/P, GL; experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition; budget compliance and setting; and forecasting of annual budget.
