Supply Chain Manager
Manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Manager to join and lead a growing team. Manager will oversee supply chain, planning and warehousing teams. Materials & Warehouse Management
Manage procurement, planning, inventory, shipping and receiving for Tension Colorado (TCO) Drive material savings to achieve strategic objectives Conduct inventory cycle counts and reconcile variances. Lead annual physical inventory Develop policies and procedures for procurement & warehouse departments Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best price, quality & delivery Manage material requirements planning and implement MRP in current ERP system Leverage ERP to optimize planning, procurement, and warehouse management Manage shipping & receiving activities, including facilitating Return to Manufacturer Authorization processing Manage inventory planning & controls, including but not limited to: developing stocking & replenishment strategies, setting safety stock, min/max and re-order point parameters, and defining and establish inventory classifications Maintain operating budgets and target cost objectives for direct and indirect spending Set up and optimize vendor managed inventory Establish processes for material handling and lean material control Develop procedures to optimize planning process and prioritize/schedule shop orders Conduct make vs buy decisions to optimize absorption and lower cost & lead times Plan, develop and implement inventory control and manufacturing order procedures Mentor and provide training to maintain department expertise Lead and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives Hire, train and manage procurement & warehouse teams; providing work assignments, performance management and conflict resolution Drive problem-solving and continuous improvement to improve planning process Facilitate team building and collaboration Drive initiatives to accelerate team performance Develop system tools and best practices for materials management and material control Develop best practices for lean materials utilizing lean methodologies Quality Control
Create an effective and sustainable Quality Management System (QMS) Establish processes and procedures for receiving inspection to improve quality control Qualify suppliers and create an approved supplier list (ASL) Process warranty claims with external & internal suppliers Review scrap and defects to determine root cause Create quality procedures and measurements to maintain quality and track improvement Work closely with Engineering to improve existing products Conduct 1st article inspections with suppliers Ensure standards and safety regulations are followed Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Engineering understanding of machined and fabricated parts as well as understanding machinery and electrical assembly practices. Familiarization of lean practices and methodologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong computer skills (MS Office
Word, Excel) with emphasis in spreadsheet development and ERP functionality. Microsoft Great Plains ERP experience desired Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to successfully handle a multi-tasked role. Results-oriented, resourceful, self-motivated, professional etiquette, customer-service-oriented with the demonstrated ability to lead, coach and inspire others to the same behaviors. Analytical thinker and passion for root-cause problem solving. Works effectively, collaboratively, and respectfully in a team environment. Comfortable in cross-functional roles. Able to interpret engineering drawings Ability to synthesize complete information and perform fact-based problem solving Education and/or Experience
+5 years' experience in manufacturing operations and supply chain management in a design-to-build environment. Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering or supply chain and equivalent work experience. Strong negotiator and experience in procurement procedures, planning, and inventory management.
