Perform daily cleaning, sanitizing, and servicing of assigned work area as per assigned work schedule and procedures in use at the Facility by utilizing approved disinfectants, cleaners, associated chemicals and equipment. Procedures to consist of the established “7-step” Program, Routine. Performs floor work, including scrubbing, spot cleaning, and shampooing.

In a method timely to the Facility, handle, sort, load, unload, fold, assign, hang, iron, repair, mend, label and distribute the Resident’s laundry and Facility linen. Utilize approved disinfectants, cleaners, detergents, bleaching agents, soft/sour agents, spotters and associated chemicals. Know and follow procedures in Universal Precautions as well as the programming of all Laundry Equipment. Keep work-related records. Assist with minor maintenance assignments, i.e., changing lamps, changing filters, snow removal, light groundskeeping duties, etc

Previous custodial experience in a long-term care or hospital facility preferred.

Previous experience in commercial laundry processing

when necessary outside of assigned areas.

Applicant must be willing and able to meet the physical demands of the position as follows: Exert up to 100 lbs. Of force occasionally, and up to 50 lbs. Of force frequently, and up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
