RESPONSIBILITIES:
nUnder the direction of a carpenter foreman, the carpenter performs varied carpentry type work, including: cabinet and furniture repair; puttying; roofing and sheet metal work; tuckpointing and sealing; flooring repair and installation; and sand blasting.
nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
nAbility to understand and implement oral and written instructions. Two years of carpentry experience. Ability to use tools of the carpentry trade, including the use of power woodworking machinery. Possession of a valid Oklahoma driver license.
nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
nGraduate of a standard high school or equivalent. Graduate of a technical school with training in the carpentry field. Additional years of carpentry experience. Experience in finish carpentry work. Experience with plastering.
nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
nWorking in very tight areas/cramped enclosures. Climbing ladders, working at heights. Lifting and carrying loads over fifty pounds. Prolonged standing and walking. Working with insulation such as fiberglass. Excessive stooping and bending. Exposure to odors. Exposure to disagreeable tasks or conditions. Climbing stairs, including carrying while climbing. Work may involve night, weekend, shift or overtime work.
nSALARY RANGE:
nCommensurate with experience.
