Base Salary Range for this position is $84,864 - $138,236 annually

n

This position is eligible for annual bonuses

n

Annual Return on Assests Bonus Percentage (ROA) (5 year average) = 20.7% of eligible earnings

n

Annual Profit Sharing Bonus Percentage (5 Year Average) = 20.4% of eligible earnings.

Basic Job Functions:

n

  Generate metal building design solutions that safeguard the intended occupants while providing cost effective design solutions that take care of our customers as well as generate profit for American Buildings Company.

  n

• n

  Process designs in accordance with the ABC purchase order and comply with governing building codes and standards.

  n
n
• n

  Design projects with accuracy and within timeframes consistent with position expectations.

  n
n
• n

  Value-engineer projects in order to achieve an efficient and cost effective design to maximize profitability.

  n

• n

  Manage projects through effective communication and documentation with supervisor, customers, and teammates.

  n

• n

  Check and seal the work of co-workers.

  n
n
• n

  Assist in project meetings, estimating, research and development as requested.

  n

• n

  Demonstrate courteous and professional business etiquette, positively influence teammates, and evolve with changes in business demands.

Minimum Qualifications:

n

n
• n

  Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an (ABET) accredited school with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.

  n

• n

  Engineer Intern Status or have taken Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and awaiting results.

Preferred Qualifications:

n

n
• n

  Currently hold a Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Structural Engineer (S.E.) registration.

  n

• n

  Experience in the field of pre-engineered metal building systems.

  n
n
• n

  Can currently read, understand and comprehend Architectural, Structural, and Mechanical project drawings.

• n

  Working knowledge and understanding of current building codes and standard industry practices.
