nThe City of Pueblo is looking for qualified candidates to be our next Civil Engineer – Drainage in our Stormwater Division. As the Civil Engineer - Drainage, you’ll be responsible for the planning, design, and construction management of drainage facilities within the City and providing engineering and technical support related to the operation of City stormwater infrastructure. In this supervisory role, you’ll directly supervise engineers within the Stormwater Division. You’ll also prepare contract bid documents, review drainage plans submitted for commercial sites, and attend meetings with the public and other agencies on drainage issues.

** Education: ** Employee must possess one of the following:
n- n
- An ABET-accredited bachelor's degree (or higher) in any engineering field; n
OR
n- n
- A bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or other Engineering Technology field. n
Experience: Employee must demonstrate they meet the following experience requirement:
n- n
- At least two (2) years of experience in the field of civil engineering, including a minimum of one (1) year of experience in stormwater engineering, management and oversight of construction projects in the public right-of-way, and/or development of stormwater-related construction project scopes of work to include preparation of drawings and specifications. n
Licenses/Credentials: Employee must possess or obtain the following licenses/credentials within the time frames specified:

- A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employmentn
- n
- License restrictions that may hinder your ability to drive on City business, such as an interlock, will be cause for disqualification n
- During the course of employment, a valid license must be maintained, and the employee must notify the City immediately upon changes to the status of their license; and n
n - Ability to obtain licensure as a professional engineer in the State of Colorado within five (5) years of appointment n
