nJob Description:
nThe contractor shall provide engineering leadership & supplier technical oversight and guidance in conjunction with the technical lead engineers to ensure hardware is conforming to the contract. The ideal candidate will have worked on applicable space and/or Launch vehicle systems with an engineering degree and have experience leading engineering disciplines such as:
nSystems Engineering
nStructural Engineering
nMechanical/Aerospace Engineering
nAvionics Engineering
nElectrical Engineering
nPropulsion/Flight Engineering
nTest Engineering
nManufacturing & Expeditor Support Services
nThe contractor shall provide manufacturing and expeditor support services at suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality hardware to the factory.
nQuality Engineering
nNon-Destructive Test, Inspection and Evaluation
nLiaison Engineering
nManufacturing Engineering
nMaterials Processes and Physics Engineering
nTraining Services
nTravel
nThe contractor shall travel to various Customers and Supplier sites, as required for general services being performed. Significant (>75%) on-site presence at company suppliers is expected for this role. Main location of support is Buffalo, NY.
nRequirement Skill Set/ Experience:
nSomeone who can work independently
nSomeone who is assertive, can carry their own in front of team members and clients
nHas previously lead technical teams
nPrevious executive level work experience
n20+ years experience in supplier management/technical leadership
nCost account management experience
nSomeone who has experience managing risk and opportunities
nPreferred Skill Set: Not required - nice to have
nLlean implantation experience (Lean manufacturin /continuous improvement experience)
nProgram Management Services
nThe contractor shall provide program management support in the following disciplines.
nProject Lead
nProgram Analyst
nProgram Integration
nScheduler
nEngineering Services
nEducation / Experience:
nBachelor's and 20 or more years' experience, Master's with 18 or more years' experience or PhD with 15 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
