Job Description:

n

The contractor shall provide engineering leadership & supplier technical oversight and guidance in conjunction with the technical lead engineers to ensure hardware is conforming to the contract. The ideal candidate will have worked on applicable space and/or Launch vehicle systems with an engineering degree and have experience leading engineering disciplines such as:

n

Systems Engineering

n

Structural Engineering

n

Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering

n

Avionics Engineering

n

Electrical Engineering

n

Propulsion/Flight Engineering

n

Test Engineering

n

Manufacturing & Expeditor Support Services

n

The contractor shall provide manufacturing and expeditor support services at suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality hardware to the factory.

n

Quality Engineering

n

Non-Destructive Test, Inspection and Evaluation

n

Liaison Engineering

n

Manufacturing Engineering

n

Materials Processes and Physics Engineering

n

Training Services

n

Travel

n

The contractor shall travel to various Customers and Supplier sites, as required for general services being performed. Significant (>75%) on-site presence at company suppliers is expected for this role. Main location of support is Buffalo, NY.

n

Requirement Skill Set/ Experience:

n

Someone who can work independently

n

Someone who is assertive, can carry their own in front of team members and clients

n

Has previously lead technical teams

n

Previous executive level work experience

n

20+ years experience in supplier management/technical leadership

n

Cost account management experience

n

Someone who has experience managing risk and opportunities

n

Preferred Skill Set: Not required - nice to have

n

Llean implantation experience (Lean manufacturin /continuous improvement experience)

n

Program Management Services

n

The contractor shall provide program management support in the following disciplines.

n

Project Lead

n

Program Analyst

n

Program Integration

n

Scheduler

n

Engineering Services

n

Education / Experience:

n

Bachelor's and 20 or more years' experience, Master's with 18 or more years' experience or PhD with 15 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

n
