nOverview
nGlobal seeks a highly motivated Grant Writer to join our growing team. This individual will work with the Grant Acquisition Team to develop grant proposals for various funding organizations. The Grant Writer will also play a key role in attracting new clients by monitoring and analyzing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for grant writing and administration services and formulating proposals that effectively showcase Global's expertise and ability to execute the required services.
nThe ideal candidate will have experience with technical writing, strong verbal and written communication abilities, and an understanding of local government structures and general grant writing processes. Success in this role demands attention to detail, creativity, and the capacity to collaborate seamlessly with various internal departments.

nResponsibilities
nGrants
nUpdate grant matrices for core clients to include a current list of funding opportunities.
nReview and create detailed breakdowns of Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs), outlining key dates, application requirements, and funder priorities.
nAssist the Senior Grant Writers in developing grant applications, including project narratives, budgets, timelines, letters of support, standard forms, and other required documents.
nProposals
nReview Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to determine their relevance and alignment with our capabilities and goals, then break down the RFP and outline the proposal structure according to the provided instructions.
nUse boilerplate information from previous submissions and draft original content as needed, in alignment with RFP requirement
nComplete attachments for bid submissions, ensuring all necessary organizational and project details are clearly and correctly provided according to the client's specifications.
nUpdate RFP matrices to actively keep our team informed on all RFPs being pursued.
nOther
nMaintain records of department-related documents, including drafts, final submissions, relevant research, and reports; update databases or tracking systems with grant statuses and deadlines.
nParticipate in team meetings and strategy sessions to enhance grant acquisition and improve internal processes and documentation practices.
nAssist with administrative tasks and projects as assigned.
nQualifications
nA bachelor's degree in English, communications, sociology, journalism, public administration, urban planning, public health, or a related field; OR in lieu of a degree, four years of relevant experience, which may include internships, volunteer work, and/or professional employment relevant to the job responsibilities above.
n1-3 years of experience in grant writing, technical/copywriting, fundraising, local government, or a related field.
nStrong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
nProficiency in conducting thorough research and synthesizing complex information.
nExcellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
nAbility to effectively communicate and coordinate with team members.
nAbility to adapt writing styles and proposal components to meet the specific needs of different funders and projects.
nProficiency with office software and project management systems.
nPreferred Qualifications
nUnderstanding of the grant application process, particularly for government grants.
nExperience in grant writing or fundraising.
nExperience independently managing and executing projects tailored to meet specific outcomes and objectives.
nExperience engaging with and supporting marginalized groups, demonstrating sensitivity and understanding of the challenges these communities face.
nKnowledge of social justice and racial equity issues, including historical and systemic inequalities that affect various groups.
nExperience working with local government and/or understanding of government structure.
nCoursework or certifications in grant or proposal writing.
