nPosition Overview
nShaw Industries is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to lead process improvement initiatives within our Samples Division, which includes operations, merchandising, planning, and vendor management. This role is responsible for driving cost efficiency, developing performance standards, and optimizing supply chain flows. The ideal candidate will analyze complex data, manage budgets, and lead cross-functional projects to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential, along with a collaborative mindset and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment. Experience with Power BI and financial performance tools is a plus.

Conduct cost analysis and support cost control initiatives across all locations and departments within the Samples Division.

Create, monitor, and report key performance metrics to support operational decision-making.

Develop and maintain time standards and performance benchmarks.
n n - n
Manage and update operational and capital budgets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
n n - n
Evaluate supplier options and material selections to support quality, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability goals.
n n - n
Provide recommendations to optimize product flow throughout the supply chain.
n n - n
Support capacity planning by establishing, monitoring, and reporting utilization levels across all areas of the Samples Division.

Facilitate project planning and implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
n n - n
Identify and troubleshoot system issues; propose data-driven solutions for continuous improvement.
n n - n
Conduct analysis for special projects and provide actionable recommendations.
n n - n
Prepare and submit capital and expense project proposals for departmental and plant-wide needs.

Quantify and report projected savings and benefits for capital and expense projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in industrial engineering or process improvement.

Proven ability to analyze complex data across diverse product types and processes, and to make informed recommendations.

Strong understanding of financial performance metrics and tools (e.g., income statements, budget tracking, product costing).

Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across various levels of the organization.
n n - n
Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Proficient in standard business software, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing tools.

Experience leading or contributing to cross-functional projects and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Ability to plan, execute, and adjust activities to meet business objectives.

Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment and contributing to shared goals.
