nPosition Summary
nLay-out, assemble, install, or maintain pipe systems, pipe supports or related hydraulic or pneumatic equipment in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.

nPrimary Responsibilities and Duties
n• Reading isometric drawings, taking measurements, fabricating and installing piping efficiently
n• Align, bolt, and clamp together components of fabricated metal products to secure in position for welding
n• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications by welding and threading joints
n• Position and secure materials and workpieces during installation; and install all other items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications
n• Distinguish varying thickness and types of metal materials
n• Manually handle and securely apply rigging equipment
n• Operate tools and equipment including: beveling machines, cut-off grinders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, and a Saw-Zall
n• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports
n• Hydro test piping systems
nQualifications
n• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
n• Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
n• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
n• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.
nRequirements
n• The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site,
nso should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
n• Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor
nweather conditions
n• Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required
n• May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access
nrequired equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and
nmaintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds
n• Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces
n• Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment
n• May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across
nconstruction/industrial site
n• Must have required tools
n• May require US drivers license
n• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required
n• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit for duty medical and background
