Director of Operations Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring optimal restaurant performance by providing leadership and guidance to the Hospitality Manager, Kitchen Manager, Assistant Managers, Crew Leaders, and Crew Trainers. Ensure Golden Corral operational standards are communicated, trained, and maintained in the restaurant. Responsibilities
Provide leadership to Kitchen Manager, Hospitality Manager, and Assistant Managers through training, coaching, performance appraisal, and development to ensure guests receive a pleasurable dining experience. Ensure all Golden Corral operations systems are in place according to the Operations Manual. Manage the restaurant within budget for sales, food, labor, and operating expenses. Manage all assets—financial, facility, and human resources—in accordance with company policies and regulations. Ensure Restaurant Operations Improvement Process (ROIP) standards are met. Provide coverage for front or back of house when needed, coaching team members and ensuring corrections. Recruit, select, and orient Assistant Managers, ensuring participation in the Fast Pass for Success program. Recognize team members for performance and milestones. Train staff on standards, recipes, promotions, and policies. Implement health and safety programs to ensure a safe environment. Maintain communication systems within the team. Assist in developing the restaurant’s budget. Maintain the 17 priorities and perform regular maintenance on equipment and property. Execute national marketing programs and develop local marketing initiatives to increase sales. Qualifications
Experience managing a restaurant with diversified menu offerings, preferably with Golden Corral. Completion of the Golden Corral Manager in Training Program is preferred. Education typically includes a degree in business or hospitality. Position requires standing, walking, task management, occasional lifting, and working in environments with customer contact and cooking equipment. Additional Information
