Threes Brewing is a Brooklyn-born brewery, bar, and event space with locations in Gowanus, Greenpoint, Governors Island, and Huntington, Long Island, plus a retail store in Moynihan Train Hall in Midtown Manhattan. A core focus of the company is to reconnect people to each other and themselves, creating memorable experiences that celebrate life—whether that's toasting a promotion over our award-winning Logical Conclusion IPA or hosting an unforgettable wedding reception in our industrial-chic Gowanus space. 

The Event Sales Manager will work with both corporate clients and social customers to book weddings, corporate parties, birthday celebrations, team outings, and other special gatherings across our diverse event spaces while showcasing our award-winning craft beer products.

This position represents an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of the hospitality and craft manufacturing industries, managing diverse client relationships from intimate wedding ceremonies and birthday parties to large corporate events and team celebrations across multiple unique venues. The Event Sales Manager reports directly to the Events Director and works in and outside of the office to engage with clients from the moment of initial inquiry through the seamless handoff to the execution team.

Goals for the Event Sales Manager:

  • Provide professional and elevated hospitality in every point of communication with existing and potential clients across both corporate and social segments
  • Meet quarterly and annual sales goals set by Events Director for combined corporate and social revenue streams across all Threes locations
  • Gather, analyze, and share trends visible through event sales and execution with the intention of improving and bringing higher value to Threes products and services
  • Embody Threes' community-minded ethos in every client interaction, ensuring each event feels authentically connected to our Brooklyn roots and craft beer culture

Responsibilities include:

  • Evangelize Threes by highlighting our award-winning beer portfolio, brand positioning, product quality, and core values to diverse client segments seeking venues for weddings, corporate parties, birthday celebrations, and social gatherings
  • Identify new opportunities by finding prospects across corporate accounts (from small companies to large enterprises) planning team events, holiday parties, and corporate celebrations, as well as individuals planning weddings, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, and other social gatherings
  • Establish new customer connections with defined target account lists for both corporate and social segments across all venue locations
  • Build relationships and meet customer needs to nurture repeat business across all client types and event categories
  • Communicate with customers in person, by phone, and in email with appropriate tone and approach for each segment, whether planning an intimate wedding or large corporate gathering
  • Manage multiple opportunities simultaneously with professionalism and timeliness, prioritizing needs of Threes and our diverse customer base
  • Schedule and execute site visits and tours with potential clients across our Gowanus, Greenpoint, Governors Island, and Manhattan locations
  • Create proposals and contracts tailored to different client types, event scales, and venue rooms (Main Bar, The Yard, Tiny Montgomery, The Parlor, The Studio, etc) for weddings, corporate events, and social celebrations
  • Collaborate in handoff of events from sales team to execution team across all locations
  • Respond to initial event inquiries with professionalism and timeliness
  • Craft weekly update emails for event staffing and communication purposes
  • Coordinate with exclusive food partners (Grand Army in Gowanus, Gotham Burger Social Club in Greenpoint) and catering options for wedding receptions, corporate dinners, and social gatherings
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards across all venues
  • Create and digest post-mortems to collect feedback and improve our internal systems
  • Provide market feedback to leadership team about industry trends, pricing, and competitive activities across both market segments
  • Manage pipeline of sales activity and deliver regular forecasting reports for pending deals across corporate and social channels

Requirements:

  • Warm, friendly, and positive demeanor with ability to adapt communication style to different client segments, from wedding couples to corporate decision-makers
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and relationship building acumen
  • Self-starter, inquisitive and comfortable with collaborating with customers and co-workers
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in sales and event planning with experience in both corporate and social event markets preferred, ideally including weddings and private celebrations
  • Must be meticulously organized with outstanding time management skills to coordinate across multiple venues and event types
  • Exceptional team player with genuine passion for food & beverage culture and creating those 'you had to be there' moments that make events truly special
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
  • Intermediate computer skills, specifically working with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
  • Experience with Tripleseat or other CRM software
  • Experience with sales data writing, reporting, and analysis
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with determination to prospect and develop new business across diverse market segments
  • Ability to travel between NYC locations as needed
