We All Gotta Eat!, a multi-unit, multi-concept restaurant group with locations in NYC and Miami is seeking a Regional Human Resources Manager to support our Miami locati0ns, Fooq's Little River, a 200 seat Mediterranean restaurant with a lounge and nightlife component opening later this year and our acclaimed Eleventh Street Pizza locations in Dadeland and Downtown.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources Generalist reports to the Director of Human Resources and the Director of Operations and will lead HR functions, including recruitment and hiring, training and development, employee relations, payroll processing, compliance and administration.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

Recruitment /Hiring

  • Responsible for FOH and BOH staffing from sourcing, interviewing, tracking referencing, on-boarding, orientation.
  • Assists with recruitment of management and administrative staff, including: sourcing, screening, interviewing, tracking, job descriptions and background checks
  • Responsible for hiring staff within comp within guidelines, managing offer stage, electronic on-boarding, orientation, training and preparing/updating job descriptions
  • Maintain applicant tracking and HRIS systems.
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/job developers/schools and organizations etc.

Training and Development

  • Assist in succession planning and training needs assessments at staff and store management level and helps develop and source and determine necessary practical and remedial training
  • Works with corporate training and operations team to assess, develop and oversee management training programs for MIT’s (managers’-in-training), Certified Trainers and Travel Teams.
  • Assists with development of on-going management training seminars on practical, compliance and leadership skills topics.
  • Work with operations team and department heads in evaluating, training, coaching and counseling of management and staff to develop and sustain high performing teams and minimize turnover.

Employee Relations

  • Responsible to communicate and train adherence to policies and guidelines as outlined in our Employee Handbook, including progressive disciplinary policies.
  • Responsible to communicate, train and enforce of the Respectful Workplace (anti-discrimination and harassment) Policy.
  • Assist in managing employee relations.
  • Assists in researching and preparing responses to all employee litigation matters.
  • Manage on-going employee appreciation and recognition communications, events and practices

Compliance

  • Responsible to work with Director of HR to ensure compliance with all local, state, federal regulations, including FMLA, Title VII, DOL, workers’ comp, disability, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, and general liability.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation, communicate and train on updates to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure employee files and medical files and HR files are complete and updated and stored as required
  • Conduct routine Form I-9 compliance audits and track of expiration dates of Alien Registration Cards

Administrative

  • Update and manage our Payroll/Human Resources Information System, to ensure accuracy of processes including payroll, recruitment/applicant tracking system, electronic on-boarding, e-verify, time management, benefits enrollment, report writing/business intelligence and create and employee portal.
  • Manage and oversee processing of unemployment, workers’ comp, disability and general liability claims process
  • Maintain organization charts and contact lists
  • Update and maintain Employee Handbook and policy acknowledgements, confidentiality agreements, training manuals.

General

  • Foster an encouraging and positive and respectful work environment. Manage within We All Gotta Eat!'s system of progressive discipline and in compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
  • Manage with a high-level understanding and effective administration of all internal and external compliance.
  • Fully understand the Company's ethos and employ it in every interaction.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, coworkers, and management.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  • Position requires flexibility to manage a 24X7 process.
  • Position based at our Miami office with travel to restaruant locations as required
  • REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or relevant certifications or related work experience.
  • 3 + years of experience in human resources in a restaurant, food service or related diverse, retail, or entertainment venus a plus..
  • Experience managing HRIS and payroll, compliance and benefits administration
  • Ability to collaborate with the leadership team and work with a servant leader approach.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex expectations and processes to all levels. Strong listening skills.
  • Creative, respectful, remains cool under pressure.
