About the Role
Ti Building is looking for a Barista. Reporting to the Directo r of QSR , t he Bar ista will be a skilled professional who specializes in making and serving coffee and other hot or cold beverages. They are responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, preparing beverages, handling the cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. In addition to making coffee, baristas may also serve other food items, such as pastries, and work across other quick-service counters.
What You Will Do
Prepares and serves authentic coffees, espressos, and other café drinks
Provide guests with exceptional service and product details, such as the blend of coffee or preparation description.
Set up stations and replenish displays neatly, including separating allergens (nuts, wheat, etc.).
Ensures all items are dated and following First in First Out (FIFO) standards.
Weighs, grinds, or packs coffee beans for guests according to their specifications.
Accurately maintain the organization and cleanliness of the counter in accordance with the Health Department standards.
Works across all Quick Service counters, serving a variety of Bakery and Café items.
Operates a cash register and ensures the accuracy of cash drops and the authenticity of bills.
Perform all other tasks as duties as assigned and/or per business need.
About You
1+ year of barista experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
1+ year of experience on a manual espresso machine preferred.
The ability to work as part of a team.
Very basic food handling, preparation, and cleaning skills are welcomed.
Time management and ability to work under pressure to manage high production volume.
Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea, and drink preparation and product.
Outstanding communication and guest service skills.
Food Handling License preferred.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and follow directions for all production.
Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis).
Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
Climbing steps regularly.
Compensation: $16.50 – 17 per hour plus tips
