Opened in March 2025 in the historic former Westbury Hotel on Madison Avenue, Maxime’s is a private members club home to four distinct kitchens, each offering a unique culinary experience.
We are looking for a Pizza Cook to join our team and work directly with our Pizza Chef to develop and execute Roman style pizza. Our kitchen operates an electric oven, and our dough is high Hydration, Direct fermentation dough. The candidate should be confident with pizza making and able to assist in other sections of the kitchen when necessary. The candidate will be working with the best produce that has been thoughtfully sourced.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Making pizza consistently & efficiently stretching dough, portion control, even crust, etc.
- Uphold high standards for health, sanitation, and safety standards necessary in food handling and overall cleanliness.
- Produce top-quality food to create seasonal pizza’s, maintain recipes, pictures and specifications are followed, food displays for quality, cleanliness, and food safety.
- Shares the overall responsibility of proper storing procedures, food orders, equipment, sanitation, Allergy’s and hygiene to Company and local standards.
- Daily responsibilities also include preparation of dough, toppings, sauce, and other areas of the kitchen.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience working in fine dining and/or Michelin training.
- Culinary trained and professional who is passionate to develop and grow as a chef.
- Strong work ethic and customer-focused approach.
- Experience and knowledge on preparing authentic, handmade artisan Roman style pizza.
- Stable work experience background.
- Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business.
- NYC Food Protection Certificate.
- Well versed in verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment.
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
