POSITION SUMMARY

The Polisher will work in close cooperation with  the  front-of-house operation s .   The polisher will  be responsible for   the  polishing,  cleaning,   storing and maintenance of   front of house  restaurant   supplies during s ervice . The polisher will  be expected to  p olish all glasses and silverware to be used in the dining room , f old napkins and make extra place settings.  The polisher m ay periodically take physical count of stock or check and mark stock.  

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Polish wine glasses and silverware
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation
  • Follow health and safety guidelines
  • Restock the dining room with china, silverware, glassware, utensils, condiments, and linen, and maintain adequate supplies in the workstations when the dining room is open
  • Fold napkins and make extra place settings
  • Stock shelves, racks, tables, and service stations with new or transferred supplies
  • Contribute to a positive team environment
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 1 year of restaurant experience, fine dining preferred 
  • Friendly, outgoing, energetic team player with a positive attitude 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced professional restaurant 
  • Desire and dedication to learn and offer fine dining service 
  • Ability to think quickly and multi-task in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to communicate effectively 
  • Ability to take direction and execute 
  • High standards for cleanliness of workspace and service areas 
  • Genuine warmth and hospitality  
  • FULL AVAILABILITY  which includes daytime hours, evening hours and weekends 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  

  • Ability to perform essential job functions safely and successfully consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and climb steps regularly.
  • Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this position is $17.00 per hour. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
