Our focus is on developing server-class high-performance solutions optimized for server products. We seek a highly experienced Server IO specialist to architect and design complex, high-performance, low-power solutions at advanced process nodes. This role involves architecture through commercialization of end-to-end Server IO solutions, including PCIe, CXL, and emerging technologies like UAL. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of CPU and SoC architecture for datacenter SoCs, microarchitecture experience, and expertise in coherent IO subsystems, power management, debug, and RAS. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. **Minimum Qualifications:** Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field + 8+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree + 7+ years of relevant experience OR PhD + 6+ years of relevant experience **Preferred Qualifications:** Over 7 years experience in architecting solutions for PCIe, CXL, or similar IO technologies Expertise in IOMMU/SMMU architecture Deep understanding of protocol flows, multiprocessor system architecture, high-speed interconnects, and platform firmware Master's in relevant fields 10+ years developing high-speed IO architectures (PCIe Gen5-7, CXL2.0-CXL3.0) Performance microarchitecture expertise for IO datapaths Experience with confidential compute technologies and multi-socket links End-to-end IO hardware stack knowledge Familiarity with ARM ISA, SMMU, GIC; UAL and NVLink are a plus **Key Responsibilities:** Collaborate with chip architects to understand high-level requirements Define and document IO architecture requirements Optimize solutions for PPA trade-offs with design teams Communicate architecture to stakeholders Develop architectural solutions based on customer requirements Ensure implementation aligns with specifications Qualcomm is committed to accessibility and equal opportunity.
