Position Summary

An SQA Engineer, under general supervision and following an established process, takes ownership of end-to-end testing of new and existing products. This role is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and execution of test plan and test cases to ensure our products meet requisite functional, technical, and regulatory requirements, and maintain high overall quality. This position works collaboratively to meet organization's quality objectives and assists with continuous improvement initiatives within the organization. Additionally, this role may participate in mentoring Associate SQA Engineers. Ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual; has exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities; possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills; and is able to work collaboratively across teams, in a dynamic fast-paced environment in order to achieve positive results. Essential Job Functions : Work independently on small to mid-scale projects seeking minimal guidance from project lead and/or Senior Engineers

Gather requirements or specifications, and help project lead evaluate test scope, effort, schedule and plan

Develop, conduct reviews and execute test plans and test scripts to effectively test game software and related solutions across multiple platforms

Display proficiency in software test methodologies/ procedures, overall product development lifecycle, as well as key regulatory and functional areas of the product

Adhere to business/ process workflows and closely follow SQA work instructions at all times

Write clear and concise defect logs, and assist in recreating issues and triaging root cause

Track all major issues and assist with escalation as necessary to ensure timely resolution

Participate in software defect triage and SQA Milestone/ hand-off meetings with development

Utilize tools and databases for SQA functions and testing at an expert level

Provide input to the weekly project status report for each assigned project

Provide detailed Completion Report at the end of each project

Actively participate and provide detailed feedback during root cause analysis of escaped defects

Assist project lead with project risk assessment, risk escalation and mitigation

Interface with cross-functional teams effectively to meet organization's quality and time to market KPIs

Other Duties and Responsibilities : Assist the SQA Department on special projects

Participate in department wide Continuous Improvement Initiatives.

Maintain key contacts with upstream organizations that have a direct impact on SQA

Mentor new Associate SQA Engineers on assigned projects

Actively participate in Design Reviews, Code Reviews and Triage meetings

Qualifications

Experience working as SQA, SDET, Software Engineer or combination of education and work experience

Academic and/or working knowledge of Computer Architecture and Hardware

Academic and/or working knowledge of Object-oriented Programming languages

Academic and/or working knowledge of Operating System and Software Application Architecture

Working knowledge of real-time embedded systems and Client/ Server systems

Proficiency in productivity Tools, Databases, and applications commonly used in software industry

Experience with Casino, Online or Console gaming a plus

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred

Required Experience: 2 - 5 years of relevant experience as an SQA, SDET, Software Engineer or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Working knowledge or experience with Test Case Management Systems such as qTest

Working knowledge or experience with Issue Management Systems such as JIRA

Working knowledge of Software Development and Test methodologies such as Agile

Knowledge or experience with python scripting language or C# is a plus

Physical Requirements: Stand for long periods of time

Extensive time in front of LCD's and Electronic Gaming Machine screens

Repetitive motion to open heavy Electronic Gaming Machine doors

Work Conditions: The ability to move between projects with little notice and the ability to adapt quickly

Overtime and weekend hours may be required to meet project schedules

Limited travel may be required
