About the Role:

The Full Time Veterinary Receptionist at Seneca Hill Animal Hospital plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all clients and their pets. This position serves as the first point of contact, managing appointments, client communications, and administrative tasks with professionalism and empathy. The receptionist will coordinate effectively with veterinary staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and support clinical operations. Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential to maintain accurate records and handle sensitive information confidentially. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall client satisfaction and operational success of the animal hospital.

Seneca Hill Animal Hospital, Resort & Spa is looking for a receptionist who is willing to learn the hospital side as well of the resort side of the position. Flexibility is a must.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a veterinary or medical office setting. Basic computer proficiency, including experience with scheduling and record-keeping software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital. Familiarity with veterinary terminology and common procedures. Proficiency with veterinary practice management software such as DVMax and EZVet Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion. Ability to multi task and manage multiline telephone. Responsibilities:

Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit. Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups using the hospital's management software. Answer phone calls promptly, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate veterinary staff as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and patient records, including processing payments and insurance information. Coordinate with veterinary technicians and doctors to ensure timely patient care and smooth clinic operations. Handle administrative duties such as filing, inventory management, and ordering office supplies. Assist in educating clients on hospital policies, procedures, and basic pet care information.

The required skills enable the receptionist to efficiently manage client interactions, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate records, ensuring a seamless experience for both clients and veterinary staff. Strong communication skills are essential for addressing client concerns, providing clear information, and coordinating with the clinical team. This position is FULL TIME with a required Saturday rotation.
