Under the guidance of the Manager of Psychiatric Care Management and as an integral member of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, the

LMSW Psychiatric Liaison

delivers compassionate, high-quality social work services to adult, adolescent, and geriatric psychiatric patients. This dynamic role encompasses

comprehensive psychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, individualized treatment planning, discharge coordination, psychotherapy, and utilization review

In addition, the Psychiatric Liaison takes the lead in navigating the

court-ordered process , from conducting interviews and securing substitute witnesses to serving as the primary liaison with the Mental Health Court. This position is a blend of clinical expertise, advocacy, and coordination, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and families facing mental health challenges.

Hourly Pay Rate: $30.37 - $44.80

Qualifications

Education :

Requires a Master's degree in Social Work. Experience :

Requires recent experience working with seriously mentally ill or in a mental health setting. Certification/Licensure :

Must have and maintain licensure by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as either a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). CPI certification and BLS Card training will be provided upon hire/transfer to BH department. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Requires knowledge of community resources and knowledge of DSM-V. Must have awareness and sensitivity to cultural diversity. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently, as well as work effectively with a multidisciplinary team with adults, families and children. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills needed. Time management, flexibility and positive customer service orientation is necessary. Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English. Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R9-10-306 CHAPTER 10 of the Dept. of Health Services, personnel must be at least 21 years of age, or at least 18 years of age and licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32, and providing services within the personnel member's scope of practice.
