Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a
Senior Product Manager . As a Senior Product Manager on the commercial business team, you are the accountable manager for your portion portfolio of product. You are the internal customer champion, and you ensure a clear direction for product investment in your portfolio. This high visibility position provides a birds-eye view across the organization and is accountable for the successful cross-functional coordination of product strategies, that enable annual growth objectives in our channels.
This position can sit in either Coopersburg, PA or Conshohocken, PA.
Responsibilities
Define product priorities and roadmaps and advocate to ensure investment prioritization in alignment with overall business strategy and engineering capacity
Own and drive the global product roadmap and build business cases that justify initial and continued investment in the category to persuade the organization to take action Manage product portfolio throughout the entire product lifecycle Know the product category and relevant business inside and out - financials, what's working, what's not working and gaps Drive innovation across the portfolio, from disruptive innovation to sustaining innovation
Become the voice of the customer within Lutron through deep understanding of Lutron's target customers and channels Build top-down support for strategic projects by building consensus and buy-in with senior leaders Continually monitor the competitive landscape and work with other product teams to create and maintain a complete competitive positioning Converge product specs and tradeoffs with engineering and business leaders Create and execute new product launches and existing product sales programs with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering leaders in order to hit sales growth targets Manage pricing and positioning for the product portfolio to optimize sales and margin impacts of product investments Collaborate on multi-year growth plans with sales, marketing and business leadership Key Capabilities
Comfortable making product spec point tradeoffs with engineering and operations Strong executive presentation skills Ability to identify creative solutions to complex problems and quickly align teams on an actionable path forward Able to quickly build empathy for customers and channel partners, and define insights from these observations Experience creating and driving product roadmaps and creating clarity and alignment across the organization Demonstrated success influencing and leading across the organization, including influencing senior leadership teams Able to effectively coach and mentor junior product team members Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering or business Direct product development experience a plus 6+yrs of product management experience Product team leadership experience a plus Knowledge of, or experience in commercial construction industry preferred Willing to travel up to 20% of the time
