1st Shift - 5:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Thursday

Starting Pay Rate: $17.71/hr

Now Hiring at our Jacksonville, North Carolina manufacturing plant for an energetic individual to join our team as a Cairns Assembler in a manufacturing environment. This position will report the Cairns Plastic Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities include selecting appropriate materials and settings, inspecting finished products for quality, and potentially performing basic machine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating Industrial Sewing Machines:

This includes setting up the machine, threading needles, adjusting stitch length and tension, and feeding fabric through the machine to create seams, hems, or other required stitches.

Material Handling:

Preparing fabrics, cutting materials to size, and ensuring proper alignment of pieces for sewing.

Quality Control:

Inspecting finished products for defects such as uneven seams, missed stitches, or fabric flaws.

Machine Maintenance:

Performing basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning the machine, replacing needles, and ensuring proper lubrication.

Production Efficiency:

Meeting production quotas and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Safety:

Following safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

Dexterity and Hand-Eye Coordination: Ability to manipulate fabric and operate sewing machines with precision.

Attention to Detail: Essential for inspecting work and ensuring quality standards are met.

Understanding of Sewing Techniques: Knowledge of different stitch types, seam allowances, and fabric properties.

Ability to Read and Interpret Documents: Understanding work orders, patterns, and technical specifications.

Problem-Solving Skills: Identifying and resolving machine malfunctions or quality issues.

Physical Stamina: Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Teamwork: Collaborating with other team members to meet production goals.

Education Required:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
