Job Position: Utility worker
Location: VALDOSTA, GA 31601
Pay Rate: $19.11/hr

Description: Utility Operator This role will manufacture and test cell/batteries in accordance with work instructions, quality, policies, and other documentation to ensure that customer orders are completed on time and meeting the highest stands of quality while participating as part of an efficient, quality-oriented, autonomous work team per Saft's World Class goals and objectives.
Responsibilities Receive/control materials, perform processing, clean product, inspect product, and complete documentation, while participating as part of an efficient, quality-oriented work team. Perform as Special Battery Assemble as needed. Identify product out of specification. Identify plant, process or product safety/environmental problems and report them to management in a timely manner. Provide input to management to improve work processes and Saft products. Clean, upkeep basic equipment, and perform quality checks at each station. Must be able to be at work on time, follow company rules and procedures, and follow directions from supervisor. The successful candidate must be able to interact in a positive and constructive manner with coworkers and be able to work overtime and weekends as required. Operator does not supervise others.
Education/Experience HS Diploma/GED required (must provide proof). Some manufacturing experience preferred.
Steel toed boots are required. Will train on days for approximately 2 weeks and then will move to either a 2nd or 3rd shift. Mandatory overtime on Saturdays.
