Supv Hr Spec (Military)
As a SUPV HR SPEC (Military), GS-0201-12, you will serve as the supervisor over the Force Development, Commander's Support Staff, Sustainment Services Flight, Military Personnel Flight and Airman and Family Programs within the Force Support Squadron. May serve as the full-time representative of the Commander. This is an Air National Guard (ANG) Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification. Requirements

This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. For Dual-Status Technician positions service affiliation under Title 32 USC 709 is required. For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed. For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment. Ability to establish effective profession working relationships with coworkers and customers, contribution to cooperative working environment and successful accomplish of the mission. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. Work may potentially require the employee to be exposed to search and recovery operations in direct response to a military mishap or when providing support to Civil Authorities during an Incident Response as part of domestic operations. Military Grades: Enlisted Only Specialized Experience: 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level. Specialized experience factors encompass human resources program's business competencies, familiarity with the subject matter or processes used in human resources programs associated with DoD, U.S. Army, or U.S. Air Force. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Must have experience planning, directing, and administering force support programs for wing military personnel and associate units. Must have experience and knowledge of the basic concepts, principles, and theories of military human resources management and the ability to adapt these to meet mission requirements of the state. Must have experience being responsible for programs associated with Base Services such as lodging, fitness, food service programs, recreational and special morale and welfare, etc. Education requirements - Not applicable for this position. Additional information: If you are a male applicant who was born after 12/31/1959 and are required to register under the Military Selective Service Act, the Defense Authorization Act of 1986 requires that you be registered or you are not eligible for appointment in this agency.
