Title Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented Title Clerk to accurately process automotive titles for lending partners. This role involves reviewing and auditing loan and title documents, providing excellent customer service through various communication channels, and navigating state-specific title laws and requirements for perfecting liens. You will also be responsible for documenting the system used and creating records as directed by policy and procedure. Identifying potential fraud and escalating suspicious situations is crucial to this position. Responsibilities
Process 15-20 automotive titles per day with high accuracy. Review and audit loan and title documents using a Queue system. Provide exceptional customer service via outbound and inbound calls, emails, and text messages. Learn and apply state-specific title laws and requirements for lien perfection. Create detailed documentation and records as per policy and procedure. Recognize and escalate 'red flags' or potential fraud in accounts. Complete applications and send them to the DMV/BMV without errors. Essential Skills
Proficiency in MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 2+ years of experience with automobile loan and/or title processing. Direct experience in processing titles. Ability to explain title processing across various states, especially Indiana. Experience in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Effective listening skills and ability to learn quickly. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in the automotive industry. Knowledge of title documentation and research. Work Environment
The position requires working onsite 100% of the time in a newly expanded office space with open cubicles and dual monitors. The environment includes ample conference rooms and a large training area. Work hours start between 7:30 and 8:30 am, ensuring an eight-hour shift, with early Fridays ending at 4 pm.
