The position drives key outcomes by overseeing and executing complex logistics projects, ensuring operational excellence for commercial and R&D logistics. This role is essential for optimizing processes, managing compliance, and implementing strategic improvements and initiatives. Unique in its focus, the position integrates subject matter expertise with strategic leadership to enhance logistics efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. Essential Job Responsibilities: Senior thought leader that delivers key outcomes for core/critical projects/products or processes for Astellas SCM Logistics & Distribution Accountable for multiple complex and critical projects for the area managed related to imports and exports of Research and Development materials. Outcomes are achieved by individual or through project teams, utilizing subject matter expertise, specifically in import and export compliance for non-GXP, research material. Recommends solutions for complex Logistics problems based on in-depth interpretation and analysis of issues to develop alternatives and update practices and policies for area or team managed Responsible for knowledge management and capability development for area May lead cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence/quality in the design, execution, and completion of studies/projects May directly supervise people and/or manage contractors supporting project(s) or process(es). No direct reports currently.
