Unloader
The Unloader plays a vital role in the supply chain by efficiently unloading shipments from trucks, containers, and delivery vehicles. This position ensures products are received, sorted, and staged accurately and safely for timely distribution. The role requires strong physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Perform pre-shift equipment checks to ensure readiness and safety. Unload incoming shipments from trailers, containers, and delivery trucks. Properly place and secure items to avoid damage. Count and verify shipment contents; report any discrepancies to the supervisor. Sort and stage goods in designated areas for accurate dispatch. Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts (if certified). Scan, label, and assist with basic inventory handling tasks. Maintain a clean and organized dock, staging, and warehouse area. Follow all safety protocols and procedures for material handling. Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to support smooth warehouse operations. Qualifications & Requirements: Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1-3 years of experience in warehouse or unloading roles. Skills & Abilities: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs repeatedly. Strong attention to detail and reliability. Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment. Basic math and reading skills. Forklift certification preferred (not required). Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. Ability to work around mechanical equipment, in dusty environments, and on shifting schedules. Visual and auditory awareness to maintain safety standards. Work Schedule & Environment: Available shifts: 1st Shift: Morning start to afternoon finish 2nd Shift: Afternoon start to evening finish 3rd Shift: Evening start to morning finish May include shift work in a warehouse environment with noise, dirt, dust, and moving machinery. Requires face-to-face communication and team collaboration. Job Scope: No direct supervisory responsibilities. Decisions typically impact own tasks and specific functional area. Works under general supervision with established procedures and guidelines. Some contact with other departments and external contacts for coordination and communication.
