Dining Facility Cleaner
Under supervision of designated supervisor, performing an array of tasks related to maintaining the cleanliness of the dining facilities, including interior rooms and external entrances. This is an essential staff position in Hospitality Services and is necessary for food production/service operations through weather or other emergency conditions. Tasks include: Performing tasks relating to the maintenance of floors and all surfaces, including vacuuming, mopping, washing, and sanitizing. Cleaning and/or washing of windows, walls, wall partitions, and glass. Awareness of proper chemicals and their use. Providing a clean and healthy environment in lavatories and locker areas. Cleaning of hard floor surfaces and carpet floor coverings, including extraction of stains and shampooing of carpets. Collecting all waste material from offices, sorting recyclables, and relocating to outdoor collection bins. Shoveling or sweeping snow from steps and immediate area at building entrances. Performing other duties as assigned. Assisting with production and service requirements based on business needs. Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize. Wearing and using appropriate personal protective equipment, as necessary. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends. Ability to physically meet the demands of the position including lifting, bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing loads up to 50lbs. Exposure to inclement weather conditions for prolonged periods of time, due to external snow/ice removal and sanding/salting walkways. Knowledge of bloodborne pathogen kit usage. Must have a guest service passion and the ability to work with diverse teams.
