Chaplain
The Chaplain is responsible for the delivery of pastoral care to patients, their loved ones, and staff. Responsibilities will include ensuring that religious and spiritual needs of patients and their loved ones are met in areas assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in Theology, Pastoral Care/Counseling, Divinity One year of chaplaincy experience in hospital or healthcare setting Full certification, without provisions, by NACC or APC within 2 years of hire date. Applicant that is eligible for certification must demonstrate their progress toward certification. Provisional to extend the two year time frame may be granted on occasion for emergencies. NACC, APC or NAJC Board Certification preferred. Good standing requires maintenance of continuing education and peer review requirements for renewal of certification while observing a professional code of ethics required by your Professional Organizational Standards. Clinical Pastoral Education: 4 units of CPE (1600 hours) in an accredited ACPE hospital center Professional Competencies: Theology of Pastoral Care (302.1 - 302.5); Identify and Conduct (303.1 - 303.9) Pastoral Care (304.1 - 304.9); Professionalism (305.1 - 305.6) Located in the Phoenix, Ariz., suburb of Chandler, the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 429-bed, not-for-profit hospital with more than 2,600 team members and almost 1,000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Chandler Regional joined the Dignity Health system in 1999, but has been part of the community for more than 50 years. The hospital includes a Level I Trauma Center, a Heart and Vascular Center, a Wound Healing Center, a Family Birth Center and many additional services. Unless directed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement, applications for this position will be considered on a rolling basis.
