The Opportunity:
As a Business Operations Manager, you will be a critical member of the Office of the CEO, working directly with the leadership team to drive Flexport's most important strategic initiatives. This is a high-impact, project-based role for an exceptional individual who thrives on solving complex problems and executing with precision. You will be deployed to go deep on a variety of key focus areas, from optimizing our core products to designing our talent development strategy, acting as an internal consultant and a force multiplier for the executive team. We are looking for a driven and relentless professional with a track record of success in demanding environments like management consulting, investment banking, or a high-growth startup. This is a unique opportunity to apply your strategic and analytical skills in a hands-on, operational leadership position, with a direct path to becoming a future leader at Flexport. You will:
Strategic Project Leadership: Own and drive a portfolio of high-priority, cross-functional projects. End-to-End Problem Solving: Take on ambiguous business challenges, frame the problem, conduct rigorous analysis, and develop and implement data-driven solutions with stakeholders across the company. Executive-Level Communication: Synthesize complex data and insights into clear, concise presentations for the CEO and senior leadership team. Cross-Functional Influence: Act as a force multiplier, building consensus and driving alignment with leaders across the company's product, engineering, sales, and operations teams without direct authority. Leadership Bench Building: Spend time embedded within a specific business unit or product team to understand their operations, identify gaps, and help cultivate the next generation of leaders. Special Projects: Take on ad-hoc projects from the CEO and Chief of Staff that are critical to the company's success. You should have:
4-8 years of professional experience in a highly analytical and fast-paced environment, such as management consulting, investment banking, a strategy/operations, or finance role in a high-growth environment. Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills. You are comfortable with data and can use it to build compelling business cases and drive decisions. Proven track record of end-to-end problem-solving. You have a history of taking a project from an initial idea to full implementation. High-achiever with a relentless work ethic. You are comfortable with long hours and the demands of a high-growth, high-stakes environment. Structured and logical thinker with the ability to quickly get up to speed on new industries, products, and challenges. Outstanding communication and presentation skills. You can distill complex information into clear, actionable insights for an executive audience. A desire to transition from a purely advisory role to a hands-on, operational leadership position. You are looking to build and grow a business, not just analyze it. A passion for logistics, AI and technology is a plus The US base salary range for this position (exclusive of bonus, equity and benefits): $115,200 - $144,000 USD
