EVS/HOUSEKEEPER - PER DIEM NIGHT
This position provides a variety of support services in the areas of transportation, environmental services, security, and maintenance for Del Amo Behavioral Health Systems. This position performs a variety of duties in and around the facility; responsibilities include but not limited to: maintaining orderly and sanitary conditions of the facility, cleaning and servicing the facility and ground areas; protecting life and property of all persons on facility premises, patrolling building and grounds to prevent fire, theft and vandalism and securing, unlocking and protecting building; responding to security needs of facility personnel and guests, and assisting the front lobby reception during visiting hours to ensure that contraband is checked. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred; On-The-Job Training provided Completion of Security Training program or equivalent preferred. Credential: Valid California Driver's License Class C in order to drive hospital/facility vehicles or on hospital business. Experience: Experience working in behavioral health preferred. Previous experience in environmental services (hospital/hotel industry) preferred. Two (2) years in a hospital environment preferred. Minimum Requirements of the Position: Must be able to demonstrate special training, knowledge and skills specific to job (i.e. van/driver's training, etc.) and/or program specific competency within the first three (3) months of training, and annually thereafter. Must complete all required mandatory inservices annually. Must be tested for Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire; PPD skin test required annually or chest x-ray tri-annually thereafter. Must be certified in Handle With Care training within the first three (3) months of hire and annually thereafter if assigned to Security or Transportation duties.
