Traveling CNC Maintenance Technician
Location: Lafayette, IN - must be able to work here Pay: $40$45/hour Per Diem: $1,050/week Job Type: Full-Time | 100% Travel | All Expenses Paid Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician with experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines. This role involves working with a wide range of automation and machine tool systems across over 35 OEM brands. You'll support operations by maintaining CNC mills (vertical and horizontal), machining centers, robotics, and other industrial equipment. Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines and automation systems Perform electrical maintenance on CNC mills, machining centers, and robotics Work with equipment such as P&H cranes/hoists, conveyors, furnaces, large part washers, ABB robots, and CNC machine tools Repair CNC and PLC systems with controllers from Fanuc, Siemens, and Modicon Troubleshoot AC/DC analog and digital drives, sensors, encoders, wiring, and 480V systems Use laptops to connect to machines for diagnostics and repairs Log maintenance activities using a company-provided computer/tablet via MMS system Prioritize repairs based on equipment value stream Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines Strong knowledge of PLC controls and ladder logic editing Electrical troubleshooting through HMI interfaces Familiarity with control systems: Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell, Fanuc Experience with AC/DC power systems Ability to work independently and travel extensively Why Join Us?

Industrial manufacturing and machine shop setting AWS Schedule: FridayMonday (2 days on, 2 nights on) 4 ten-hour shifts per week (guaranteed 40 hours) Initial 24 weeks of training on day shift before transitioning to assigned schedule Candidates must be open to both day and night shifts The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
