Phlebotomist II - Atlantic Station
We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to join our team at the Atlantic Station location. The ideal candidate will perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages. You will be responsible for collecting specimens for various tests, including drug screens, paternity, and alcohol tests, while ensuring accuracy in data entry and specimen preparation. Superior customer service and attention to detail are essential in this role. Responsibilities
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Essential Skills
Phlebotomy expertise with 2+ years of recent experience. Experience with specimen handling and various tests including pap smear and GC. Proficiency in straight needle venipuncture. Data entry and sample processing skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Detail-oriented with strong computer skills. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Work Environment
The position is located at the IOP - GYN-CARE - Women Health Center, 264 19th Street Northwest, Suite #2230, Atlanta, GA. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 4 PM, and Friday from 8 AM to 2 PM, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. The role involves sharing space with a Medical Assistant and completing approximately 17 draws per day. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
