A Day In The Life ...

The House Attendant is a key member of the housekeeping team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of guest-facing and back-of-house spaces. This includes public areas such as lobbies, restrooms, elevators, meeting rooms, hallways, and fitness centers, as well as supporting room attendants by restocking supplies and assisting with linen and amenity deliveries. This role is essential in upholding the hotel's standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. Some of the duties are:

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all public areas, including lobbies, elevators, corridors, restrooms, fitness center, meeting spaces, and other common areas. Remove trash and soiled linens from guest rooms and housekeeping carts. Deliver clean linen, towels, and amenities to guest rooms and housekeeping stations. Assist room attendants with tasks such as bed making, heavy lifting, or fulfilling special guest requests. Restock housekeeping closets and storage areas with supplies and linen. Keep all public and service areas neat, safe, and well-organized. Adhere to project cleaning schedules for deep cleaning and special assignments in public areas. Promptly report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors. Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner. Follow all safety and sanitation protocols, including proper chemical usage. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager. QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred, but not required. Energetic, positive attitude with a strong commitment to service. Excellent attention to detail and time management skills. Friendly, approachable personality with effective communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be flexible with scheduling, including availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
