The Account Manager plays a key role ensuring the successful delivery of our employee benefit consulting services to our clients. In this role, you will typically be the first point of contact for clients. It is your responsibility to inventory inbound issues, prioritize how to solve them, and work alongside other members of the benefits consulting team to help our clients succeed.

Practically speaking, the Account Manager role encompasses a wide variety of activities. Aside from being the intake point for clients' issues, you will be responsible for building presentations, interacting with our carrier partners, helping employees of our clients, managing data, and supporting your colleagues.

To be effective in this role, you need to build deep relationships with clients and learn about their business, benefits, and human capital needs, so that clients are comfortable collaborating with LoVasco to identify and resolve any issues related to their Total Rewards program.

Job Responsibilities

Renewal Process Management. The Account Manager serves as the operational backbone of client renewals, working under the Account Executive's strategic direction and partnering closely with the Financial Analyst. This role translates market analysis into comprehensive client presentations, delivering renewal recommendations alongside the account team. Following client decisions, the Account Manager orchestrates the Open Enrollment process. Key responsibilities include

preparing employee educational materials coordinating OE meetings overseeing the critical transfer of benefit elections to insurance carriers facilitating carrier transitions ensuring accuracy and timeliness throughout the renewal cycle. Meeting and Presentation Support. Participate in client meetings, both virtual and in-person, providing subject matter expertise and operational insights. Using templates, prepare meeting materials, take detailed notes, and catalog and follow up on action items to ensure commitments are fulfilled.

Client Relationship Management. Maintain regular communication with assigned client accounts, serving as the primary day-to-day contact for plan administration questions, enrollment issues, and general benefits inquiries. Build strong relationships with HR professionals and benefits administrators to ensure smooth ongoing operations

Issue Tracking and Resolution. Serve as the central coordinator for issue management, facilitating transparent communication between clients, vendors, and the internal team. Organize all work in Asana, our project management system, to ensure nothing falls through the cracks, providing stakeholders with real-time visibility into issue status and creating accountability for timely resolution across all parties involved.

Onboarding new clients. Oversee the complete onboarding process for new clients, managing both internal setup processes and external coordination activities. Establish organized client folders, build template projects in Asana, and systematically collect required client data. Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including carriers and third-party vendors, and ensure all administrative systems are properly configured before launch. Maintain detailed project timelines and checklists to guarantee nothing is overlooked during the transition from signed AOR to active client relationship.

Employee Support and Engagement. Serve as a direct resource for our clients' employees, handling inbound calls and inquiries related to benefits administration. Address complex claims issues, resolve eligibility questions, and provide clear explanations of benefit coverage and policy interpretations. Guide employees through enrollment processes, coverage changes, and life event modifications while ensuring accurate understanding of their benefit options. Collaborate with insurance carriers and third-party administrators to resolve employee concerns promptly

Eligibility Management. Oversee the comprehensive management of employee eligibility changes, including new hire additions and termination processing across multiple carrier systems. Serve as the primary liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and benefit administration platforms to establish and maintain automated file feeds and data integrations. Develop and optimize eligibility workflows to streamline enrollment processes, reducing manual intervention while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Maintain working knowledge of various carrier platforms and systems to effectively troubleshoot eligibility issues and coordinate seamless data transfers between HR systems and insurance providers

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Communications, Human Resources, or other related field or commensurate work experience. At least three to five years of experience required, preferably in a client support role. Previous employment at an employee benefits consulting firm, insurance agency, or financial services firm. Working knowledge of compliance and regulatory obligations applicable to employer-sponsored health plans: PPACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, etc. Knowledge of group insurance (medical, dental, vision & life and disability products). Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of software. Experience with Asana, Box, Salesforce, and/or Craft is considered a plus. Strong aptitude in project management, written and verbal communications, presentations, critical thinking, and financial analysis.
