Our experienced team offers sustainable design strategies, energy analysis, green building certification consulting, sustainability analysis, and upgrades for existing structures, along with education and training. The Senior Associate in the Sustainability & Resilience practice will support the team throughout the Northeast U.S. in the growth and expansion of our climate change resilience business line. The ideal candidate should be a licensed engineer with extensive experience as a project manager for multi-disciplinary projects. Technical expertise in areas such as flood risk assessment, coastal engineering, and the implementation of multi-disciplinary flood resilience strategies for buildings and campuses prone to coastal or inland flooding. The success of the position will require an outward approach to clients and business development. Candidate may also enhance our current computational modeling capabilities in this subject matter area with knowledge of computational fluid dynamics, along with geographic growth and enhanced portfolio-wide climate risk assessments. This will include developing relationships with public and private sector clients, attending client meetings, and facilitating technical presentations. Candidate requires excellent communication skills to develop winning responses to Requests for Qualifications and Proposals, and international tenders, while delivering financially successfully projects and offering technical guidance to the team. Our Sustainability & Resilience practice works in partnership with our other practices and offices. Therefore, a need to be a collaborative team player is necessary to achieve our goals. Responsibilities

Lead and manage projects to the agreed time frames, budgets and deliverables Build strategies and objectives for talent management, technology, quality management and risk management for the coastal, pluvial and fluvial flood resilience business line Develop and maintain in-depth flood risk market knowledge with a starting focus on client base along the U.S. East Coast and expanding throughout the rest of TT geographical locations Demonstrated ability to complete complex projects located in high-risk flooding environments Coordinate cross practice collaboration to offer our clients multi-able engineering services Lead and manage coastal flood risk assessments and resilience studies, incorporating sea level rise projections, coastal storm surge modeling, and intensity-duration-frequency (IDF) curves for coastal zones Lead and manage numerical modeling of coastal, estuarine, and nearshore processes, including coastal and riverine flooding, wave action, tidal dynamics, and storm-driven inundation in developed shoreline environments Conduct and oversee coastal watershed hydrology, 2D overland and stormwater flow simulations, and the planning and design of coastal stormwater and drainage infrastructure Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to determine project scope, budget, and timeline, resulting in the successful execution and delivery of projects Requirements

Bachelors degree in civil engineering and professional engineering licensure. Masters degree preferred 12+ years of experience in coastal engineering, stormwater management, and flood resilience implementation for building and infrastructure projects Experience with sustainable flood risk reduction strategies, including integration of nature-based solutions and climate-resilient design, is preferred Experience with GIS mapping tools like ArcGIS Pro is preferred Experience with 2D or 3D hydrological and/or coastal analyses tools is preferred Experience with flood and risk modeling packages such as SWMM5, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D & 2D, Mike+, and/or HAZUS is preferred Experience with flood mitigation design (using ASCE24, ASCE7), climate hazard analysis, and multi-disciplinary coordination is preferred Experience with Python or similar languages is a plus Experience with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, SketchUp and Photoshop is a plus 3D Modeling, Rhino, and/or Grasshopper experience is a plus Outstanding people skills The rate for this position generally is $135,000 - $160,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the Massachusetts Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is based on what a successful Massachusetts applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in Massachusetts or perform the position from Massachusetts. Similar positions located outside of Massachusetts will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by Massachusetts Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
